LETHBRIDGE, Alta. (CP) - Goaltender Martin Jones stopped 38 shots for his first career Western Hockey League victory as the Calgary Hitmen downed the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3 Wednesday night.
Jones, 16, was handed a 5-1 lead and made it stand as the Hitmen (7-6-0-1) won despite being outshot 41-22. Alex Plante, Robin Figren, Brett Sonne, Brodie Dupont and Freddie Petterson all had goals for Calgary, which finished 3-for-5 on the power play and added a shorthanded goal.
