just by watching them, Backstrom never rushed passes or forced anything. Tavares still plays like a kid at times. He makes bad decisions that are typical for an 18 year old. And again, when you skate on a line with Ovechkin for about 50 games, your gonna get points.

True. Any member with Ovechkin or the Sedin line will always patch up points. Tavares is actually still new to NHL and will flinch if they get intimidated. Soon Tavares will turn out to be pretty impressive in a few years of time.

Yea I completely agree. It's just gonna take him a little longer, but he'll be a stud in a few years

I watched John Tavares for 3 years in Oshawa and in my opinion he will never be great just an average player!!!!!!!!!

I think we'll see him put up about 70 points this year. He's already got a full season under his belt. I think as soon as his skating ability is up to speed he'll be a great player in this league.

Yeah he had some good times and some common mistakes for rookies in the league. I say he wil get 60-70 points or so this year.

We can't assume he'll stay as an average player yet,I think he's going to be able to put up a decent amount of points varying from 45-75 range.

That's a pretty wide range. So you wouldn't be surprised if he scored less than he did as a rookie?

I just kept a wide range so I will have more chances of correctly estimating how many points Tavares racks up by the end of the 2010-2011 season:beer,and yes I will be surprised slightly.
