BRAMPTON, Ont. (CP) - John Hughes scored back-to-back goals in the second period and added two assists as the Brampton Battalion downed the Ottawa 67's 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.

Luke Lynes follwed up with two power-plays in the third period, while Howie Martin had a goal and an assist for Brampton (16-22-1-3).

Logan Couture and Jamie McGinn replied for the 67's (18-17-0-3).

Special teams were the order of the day as both of Ottawa's goals came on the man advantage, while four of Brampton's five goals came on the power play.

Couture opened the scoring for Ottawa 7:58 into the first period, converting a pass from Matt Lahey. Martin countered with a power play tally of his own with 1:12 remaining in the opening frame, knotting things up at one.
