PLYMOUTH, Mich. (CP) - Joe McCann scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second period as the Plymouth Whalers rallied to rout the Windsor Spitfires 6-1 in and OHL game Thursday.

Kevin Hudes had given Windsor a 1-0 lead early in the second period before the Whalers responded with two goals in the second and then exploded for four in the third, including three on the power play.

Defenceman Ryan McGinnis had a goal and an assist for Plymouth (23-10-1-1), who have won four straight. John Armstrong, Tom Sestito, Steve Ward and Joe Gaynor added singles while McCann also had an assist..

"After the first period we kind of got our legs back under us," said McCann, a 19-year old Windsor native. "Our power play has been working hard in practices so we knew it was just a matter of time before it started to click."
