That trade makes sense for both teams, Calgary needs to rebuild and Atlanta can improve on an already good team and maybe get a few more people in the building with more success.

I doubt that's true. Atlanta has taken a huge step forward this year. If they were to actually offer up a package like that it would most certainly benefit both teams. Iginla is a class guy and so long as he believed that the trade helped Calgary and put him on a playoff contending team why would he say no?

Unless he really wants to play in a hockey market I don't see why he wouldn't wave his NTC.

Atlanta has come a long ways but I don't think It would give him the best chance at the cup.

Of course there is no way of knowing which team would give him the BEST chance. Atlanta is getting very good goaltending, matching Iggy up with Ladd,Byfuglien and Kane could be a very interesting fit. Thjere's usually a few surprises and upsets, wouldn't it be neat to see?

And you would be wrong, Kipper might be a possible move at the end of this season but Iggy will stay till he retires.
