MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (CP) - Jadran Beljo had two goals and an assist and linemate Chris Lawrence also registered three points as the Mississauga IceDogs beat the Oshawa Generals 4-2 Saturday afternoon for their fourth win in a row in the Ontario Hockey League.

Beljo scored twice in the second period to break a 1-1 tie, giving him 23 goals on the season for the IceDogs (24-13-0-2).

Stefan Legein had the other goal for the IceDogs, also his 24th this season.

John Tavares, who is pushing Tyler Donati of the Belleville Bulls for the overall OHL scoring lead, had a goal and an assist for the Generals (18-16-0-3).

Tavares now has 35 goals and 69 points in 36 games. Peter Aston had the other goal for Oshawa, which saw its five-game winning streak come to an end.

Both goaltenders, Loic Lacasse of the Generals and Lucas Lobsinger of the IceDogs, turned in solid efforts and were the reason the score was as low as it was.

Lacasse and Lobsinger each handled 41 shots in the game and Lacasse was close to brilliant in the second period, even though he gave up three goals. The IceDogs had 24 shots at him in the middle frame.
