(Sports Network) - The New York Islanders will continue their lengthy road trip this evening as they make a stop at the American Airlines Center to battle the Dallas Stars.

The Islanders began the five-game swing last Thursday in Philadelphia and have been off since then. They beat the Flyers 3-1 in that game behind a pair of goals from Alexei Yashin.

Richard Park also lit the lamp and Jason Blake donated a pair of assists for the Islanders, who snapped a two-game skid. Rick DiPietro turned away 32 of the 33 shots he faced.

The Islanders, who are 3-3-0 on the road this year, will continue their swing Friday evening against Tampa Bay.

Dallas has also been off for nearly a week, having played last Thursday at Phoenix. The Stars beat the Coyotes, 1-0, as Marty Turco needed only 13 saves to post his 25th career shutout.

Brenden Morrow scored for Dallas, which halted a brief two-game slide and concluded a four-game road trip 2-2.
