(Sports Network) - The New York Islanders shoot for their second straight win tonight when they open a seven-game homestand against the Boston Bruins at Nassau Coliseum.

New York, which logs its first home game, opened the season with three straight losses to Phoenix, San Jose and St. Louis before notching a 5-4 shootout win over Anaheim on Wednesday. Mike York scored in the sixth round of the shootout to give the Isles the win at the Honda Center.

Viktor Kozlov scored on a backhander on the Islanders second shot while Chris Simon had a goal and two assists. Goaltender Mike Dunham stopped 46 shots for New York, which will also host Nashville, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Buffalo, Florida and Chicago on its lengthy homestand.

Simon leads the Isles with four points while Kozlov owns a team-high two goals so far this season.

Boston, meanwhile, has dropped two in a row and has lost three of its four games this season. The Bruins suffered a 3-2 shootout loss to St. Louis on Thursday, as Lee Stempniak's shootout goal lifted the Blues at the newly-named Scottrade Center.
