Isles lose another one to Rangers

Well Rangers are 4-0 this year against the Isles. I bet they wish they could play the Isles all 82 games of this season. Another horribly pathetic game for the Isles. They took too many stupid penalties and gave DiPietro no help in front of the net. There were 3 1-on-goalie breakaways in the 3rd period alone. Inexcusable. I think Stirling needs to shake some things up (and not just benching Mariusz). It seems that he's the only Islanders Stirling ever seems to hold accountable. Everyone else seems to get a free ride. Only positive to come out of the game is the fact that it seems the Islander win streaks have coincided with Ranger losses. Hopefully that pattern will continue when they play their next game.

The Rangers have had the Ilse's number since 2001, and it looks like that trend's continuing in to this season.

Too bad.

Actually the trend seemed to start more in 2002-2003 season once the Rangers got Dunham. Before that the trend was pretty much; Isles win in MSG, Rangers in Nassau Coliseum. Either way it sucks and it makes the team as a whole look weak that they can't get up for a game against their biggest rival. If you can't get up for that kind of game then the playoffs are going to be just a pipe dream.

Yeah, especially if the team they're battling for the 8th spot with happens to be the Rangers.
Heh I wouldn't mind the Rangers playing the Icelanders every night. Make it like baseball where you play your rivals 19 times a year or whatever the number is. Its the only game that the Rangers can get up for.
