(Sports Network) - The Bruins and the New York Islanders will both be trying to rebound from losses this evening, when they meet tonight at Boston's TD Banknorth Garden.

The Isles opened a three-game road trip Thursday in New Jersey and were handed a shutout loss by Martin Brodeur and the Devils. Brodeur stopped 25 shots for his league-leading 10th shutout of the season and 90th of his career. Jamie Langenbrunner and Jay Pandolfo scored for the Devils.

Rick DiPietro did his best to keep the Islanders in the game, ending with 35 saves, but they lost for the second time in three contests. The Isles also fell to the Devils for the fourth time in five games this season.

New York was once again playing without center Alexei Yashin on Thursday. Yashin, the Isles captain, has missed the last five games with tendinitis in his right knee and it is still uncertain when he will be able to return.

The Islanders, who are 13-13-3 as the guest this year, complete their swing Tuesday in Toronto.
