Last season when the Flames were shaky right before the onset of the playoffs, Sutter recalled Mikael Backlund to the team from the Abbotsford Heat farm team. Coming into the 2010-2011 season Backlund is being hyped up even more as a saving grace for the Flames. Do you think that Flames fans are justified in putting a lot of pressure on the 21-year old center to help bring the Flames back up to where they were several years ago?

No the real pressure is on Iggy if Backland gets a spot on the team he will be more likely to be on the 3rd or 4th line.

For the sake of his development, I'd really hope he doesn't play on the 4th line in Calgary. He'd be far better off in the AHL in that case.
