I wouldn't consider him washed up. Washed up is more like Shayne Corson. Unfortunately for Lindros is that he is playing scared. He doesn't play with that same intesity of years back in the mid 90's. Too many consussions has left him weary on the ice and alters his game to be the effective force that he could/should be.

I agree with CM and HK11. The early Lindros was a force to be reckon with, a true power forward. He could do everything and it looked like Philly made the right move in giving up so much in the trade with Quebec.

But it turns out his brother and him are as fragile as Ming vases. Couple that with his parents sticking their noses in where they don't belong, the unfulfilled expectations, and the pressure of playing in the Big Apple, and Eric is a bundle of nerves.

I believe he needs to ask for a trade and accept a reduced salary somewhere else. It would get him out of the spotlight and let him relax and concentrate on rebuilding his game.

Its hard to say, but I'd have to say yes

He has had too many injuries, and thru these injuries, he has became washed up.

Not because he is older now, or not playing well. Its due to the injuries.

Scouting Report
Preseason projected role Lindros will try to put his disastrous 2002-03 point totals behind him. The Rangers need him to be more of an impact player this time around.
Assets Owns one of the best combinations of body-checking intimidation and goal-scoring ability in the NHL. Unleashes a lethal shot whenever parked in the slot area. Skates very well for a big man.
Flaws Constantly skating with his head down has landed him in serious concussion trouble. Questions about his leadership ability have always been prevalent in his game. Doesn't own great hockey sense.
Career potential Power forward.
