This is a nice little fact that I found out about. The last 2 coaches to win a stanley cup were both American coaches. Both John Tortorella and Peter Laviolette are both American born coaches and their teams have won the last 2 Stanley cups.

There is only 1 other American coach left in the NHL and that is Ron Wilson of the San Jose Sharks. He was born in Windsor Ontario but grew up and lived in the U.S.A.

Now My Question is: Do you think the Ron Wilson's San Jose Sharks will win this years Stanley Cup and make it a 3 peat for American coaches. Remember there is 27 Canadian coaches in the NHL and only 2 American born + Ron Wilsons Canadian born and American living. This would be outstanding if the only 3 American coaches in the league will have won the cup 3 years in a row.

Well, I strongly believe that it's going to be a California team winning the cup this year.

I think that team will be Anaheim though, not San Jose!! :dunno:

Or Tampa could just win it again!:D lol

Anyways it would be interesting if the only 3 American coaches won the cup 3 years in a row.
