(Sports Network) - The Carolina Hurricanes will try for their third consecutive victory tonight when they welcome the Dallas Stars to the RBC Center.

The Hurricanes were in action Friday and posted a 4-1 victory in Washington. Rod Brind'Amour tallied two goals and two assists to lead Carolina to the win at the Verizon Center.

Brind'Amour's point streak now stands at seven games (6g, 6a), while the two assists on the night gave him 30 points in 21 contests to continue the best start of his 17-year career.

Erik Cole also had a four-point night with a goal and three assists, while Ray Whitney added a goal and two assists for the Hurricanes, who have won four of their last five. On Wednesday, Carolina outlasted the New York Rangers for a 2-1 victory.
