(Sports Network) - The Carolina Hurricanes once again shoot for their first win of the season tonight when they visit the Atlanta Thrashers at Philips Arena.

The Hurricanes are 0-3-1 on the young season, including Wednesday's 6-3 loss in Florida. Olli Jokinen scored twice and had two assists to lead the Panthers.

Eric Belanger, Scott Walker and Andrew Hutchinson each had goals for the Hurricanes, who became the first team in NHL history to follow up a Stanley Cup championship season with four straight losses to start the following campaign.

Goaltender John Grahame finished with 25 saves in defeat.

So far on the young season the Hurricanes have received only a point from Eric Staal and Rod Brind'Amour, two of their top four scorers a season ago. Staal has one goal while Brind'Amour is point-less.

The Canes play the third portion of a seven-game road trip tonight and will visit Pittsburgh on Saturday.
