The Art Ross trophy winner from last year is currently on pace for another great year.

Joe Thornton is one of the best playmakers in the game today, and his 125 points last season are a testament to how good a player he really is.

He's also collected the most points out of any player in the NHL since the 2002-2003 season (currently at 303).

Simply put: He's a great player.

With another strong San Jose Sharks team around him, he's sure to have some success if he stays healthy. How many points do you think he'll score this season?

Bumping this one up too.

With 8 goals and 29 assists after 33 games, it looks like he won't match his totals from last season.

However, it's hard to tell in that he get points in bunches. He could at possibly get to 100, currently getting 10 points in his last 5 games.

Far from bad, but he could be better and has already shown it.

I picked 90-100 but I think it will be in the high 90's. I don't think he will be able to match his point total from last season either.

I picked 90-100 as well, only because there doesn't seem to be the fire that was there last year, between Cheechoo and Thornton. It doesn't help that Cheechoo was hurt either!!

Picked the same as last year because if I recall he always gets more points in the second half of the season. And he's begining to heat up again and his streaks can last a month.

It's beginning to look more like he'll land in the 90-100 Point range.

Hhe currently has 66 Points in 53 Games (14G, 52A) if he cored more goals, he's definitely be getting 100, but that's not the case. He's playmaker all the way, and has been for years (he got 96 Assists last season).

And suddenly he's on is way to he 110-120 range. Now there's an offencive explosion.

He currently has 109 in 79 games (21G, 88A). That's 43 Points in 26 games! (36 Assists)

Extremely impressive by Joe! Two assists away from hitting the 90 mark, putting his name in history as the 3rd player (Along with Gretzky and Lemieux) to get +90 assists in 2 consecutive seasons!
