The Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame will be inducting Phil Housley in a pre-game ceremony on Wednesday, February 7, prior to the game against Ottawa.
Housley retired from a 21-year NHL career as the highest scoring American-born player in league history with 1,232 points (338+894). A native of St. Paul, Minn., Housley was drafted by the Sabres as the sixth overall pick in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie team after recording 66 points (19+47) in his first season.
