The Blackhawks might not be good yet, but at least they aren't dull.
That was obvious again when they dropped a 5-4 decision Saturday to the Columbus Blue Jackets in their home opener at the United Center.
The Hawks scored twice in the first 7:16, then played uninspired hockey before rallying to make a game of it in the last five minutes. Still, their feistiness wasn't enough for coach Trent Yawney, who wasn't reluctant to blast his players afterward.
''If you play like a bunch of individuals, you're going to lose,'' Yawney said. ''I'm sick and tired of it. It's been going on too long.''
