(Sports Network) - The Chicago Blackhawks will try to rebound from a rough weekend when the team returns to action tonight to host the Vancouver Canucks at the United Center.

Not only did Chicago lose back-to-back games to Dallas and St. Louis on Friday and Saturday, but the team saw three of their top players go down with significant injuries.

Left wing Martin Havlat, who was leading the NHL in points heading into last weekend's play, suffered a sprained right ankle in Friday's 5-4 defeat at Dallas and will miss 2-to-3 weeks. Then No. 1 goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin broke his right index finger during warmups of the St. Louis game. He played the entire way in the 4-3 loss, but is expected to sit out the next two weeks.

The Blackhawks also lost top centerman Michal Handzus to a season-ending knee injury in the St. Louis game.

Radim Vrbata posted a goal and an assist for Chicago against St. Louis, while Khabibulin stopped 25 of 29 shots.
