Dominik Hasek's pregame routine was disrupted by the afternoon start. His game routine was disrupted by a lack of work.

Hasek, who turns 42 today, saw only 12 shots in helping the Red Wings to a 3-1 victory over Colorado on Sunday at Joe Louis Arena.

"What can I say about a game like that," Hasek said afterward. "I wasn't busy the whole game. Sort of boring. You try to stay focused constantly because the game was 1-0 up until we score the second goal, and then they (scored a goal). It's not easy game for the goalie. Sort of boring, for me."

Hasek conceded that he'd rather be bored, though, than be Jose Theodore, who faced 41 shots, 18 in the third period.

If the Wings D can play like that night in and out there's no reason to think Hasek can't be good when called upon. Just get to the postseason, hopefully with home-ice advantage and watch your goalie get hot. I think he's still got it in him when it comes to the big games, which is why I think the Wings got him.
