The Hamilton Bulldogs extended their point streak to a season-high 10 games and set three franchise records on Sunday afternoon when they defeated the Rochester Americans 9-5.
The Bulldogs tallied a franchise record with seven goals in the second period, four of which came on the power play, and also had the fastest four goals in franchise history, in a 5:05 span.
Eight different players on Hamilton tallied two points or more, led by Corey Locke, who had two goals and two assists and Duncan Milroy, who had a goal and three assists.
Jonathan Ferland added a pair of goals and an assist and Cory Urquhart scored a goal and two assists for the Bulldogs, who have put up 19 goals in their last three games.
The Bulldogs also scored their fastest six goals all-time in 11:58 surpassing the previous mark of 12:54, set on Dec. 8, 2002, while defenseman Jean-Philippe Cote surpassed Chris Hajt for the franchise record for all-time games played by a defenseman at 228.
On the other side of the puck, Rochester left wing Michael Ryan netted his first hat trick of the season and added an assist, while teammate Drew Stafford had a pair of goals and two assists in the loss for the Amerks.
