For the second week in a row and the third time this month, the Guelph Storm have named captain Matt Kennedy the Grand & Toy Player of the Week. For the week ending Sunday, January 12th Kennedy posted four points, all of them goals.

Kennedy was the Storm's leading point getter recording four of the team's six goals over the weekend. Scoring twice in both games, Kennedy tallied three powerplay goals and was given second star honours in both contests.

With his four points this past weekend and eight in his last four games, Kennedy has jumped to the top of the Storm scoring leaders with 50 points. The 19 year old also leads the team in goals with 26 and leads not only his team, but the entire OHL in powerplay goals with 14. The Storm captain is currently playing at just over a point per game pace.

Next up, Kennedy and the rest of the Storm host the Peterborough PEtes for their lone season visit to the Sleeman Centre on Friday night before travelling to Erie on Saturday to take on the Otters.
