Kelly Guard made 39 saves and stopped 5 of 6 Falcons’ players in a shootout to give the Binghamton Senators a 3-2 win at home over Springfield on Sunday evening.

The B-Sens received their scoring from defensemen Rory Rawlyk and Jean-Francois David to jump out to a 2-0 lead in the third period against the Falcons.

Springfield mounted a comeback with goals from Marek Kvapil and Eric Healey to knot the game at 2-2 and force overtime.

Ryan Vesce provided both shootout goals for the B-Sens, who after losing three straight, have now won two in-a-row, both by one-goal margins.

The Falcons continue their slide, losing their last seven games and being outscored by opponents, 24-10.
