Hey Dudes,

I think you'll all like this tidbit from an NBCSports.com NHL article spotlighting our Sabres. Here's a sample of the artticle:

Maybe it's assistant coach James Patrick. With 21 seasons and 1280 NHL games under his belt, he knows a thing or two about hockey. Turning back the clock to 1996, Guy Lapointe described the player Patrick, "The way he's thinking and the way he analyzes the game, I wouldn't be surprised if James Patrick became a good coach in the league." Jeep also battled adversity as a player in learning to control his colitis, which could be so bad at times, it's amazing he was able to compete. He is now the poster advocate for healthy living.
Maybe it's C Chris Drury. He and teammate RW Maxim Afinogenov are vying for the top spot in league points, including goal production. Oh, and did you know Drury was a baseball fan? A huge New York Yankees supporter. If he had his druthers, he might even be playing baseball rather than hockey. He pitched a win for Team USA in the 1989 Little League World Series. It was a wrist injury that helped influence his decision of hockey over ball.
