LONG BEACH, Calif. (CP) - Wes Goldie scored two goals and rookie goaltender Bryan Bridges made 43 saves as the Victoria Salmon Kings won 3-1 over the Long Beach Ice Dogs in ECHL action on Wednesday night.

Bridges made 20 saves in the first period as the Salmon Kings took a 2-0 advantage. Goldie opened the scoring 8:36 into the match when Ryan Wade sent him in on a breakaway for his 23rd goal of the season.

Victoria captain Kiel McLeod increased the advantage to two when he tucked it under the left pad of Ice Dogs goalie Mike Brown with a minute remaining before the first intermission.
