A minus to Leafs after blowouts

As strange as it sounds to say, the Leafs might want to avoid the big blowout wins, because they're now 0-12 after their three most lopsided victories of the season.

They beat the Capitals 7-1, then lost seven straight. They beat the Rangers 9-2 and lost three straight. Then beat the Bruins 10-2, then lost two straight. They need to win, they just don't want to win big.

In case you're wondering, Jose Theodore is still in the NHL, and no, he's not hurt. He just hasn't played since he got the hook after giving up five goals on just 22 shots against the stars seven games ago. He's now making $67,000 a game as the league's most expensive backup.

A plus to the Blues for a great turn around under Andy Murray. It took them 2 1/2 months to earn their first 17 points of the season. Now under Murray, they've matched that total in just four weeks.

I think that's a shame. A big win should boost the team's confidence, but rather they go on losing streaks afterwards.

I guess inconsistent players should result in inconsistent results. :dunno:
