A big plus to new Blues head coach Andy Murray. St. Louis has recorded at least a point in 9 of its 12 games since he took over the helm. And last night his club tied the NHL's modern-day record by going 12 consecutive games without giving up a first period goal - a streak that began as soon as Murray took over the team.

A minus to the Red Wings penalty killers, who have been awful against the Sharks. They gave up five power play goals in the third period Thursday night and have now surrendered 11 power play markers in their last two games against San Jose. Most victimized was Dominik Hasek, who gave up eight goals Thursday night, the most he's given up in a game in his NHL career.

There are a ton of potential Leaf pluses from Thursday night's 10-2 dismantling of the Bruins. But rather than the obvious, how about Ian White. He was a plus-6, the best such rating by a Leaf since Al Iafrate 16 years ago.
