I've been skiing my whole life, and I still can't imagine ever trying this kind of stuff, no matter how much I practiced. A double mctwist? I'd be funny to go through the thought process, the first rotation, "ah, there's my landing, time to tuck and flip again." That's just insane. Not to mention he had no speed and didn't need to do the trick as he already had gold.

Where is said foam pit-equipped half pipe? Sounds pretty cool. What a stud that kid is.
It's seven miles from Silverton, Colorado. There were videos of him practicing on it (and coming up with new tricks) put up on his website yesterday, but his website has actually crashed since he won yesterday.

The best I can find would be this:

I don't understand how you get started in a sport like that. It's not exactly a sport you play in the neighborhood with your friends growing up. Or better yet, how did these sports get invented? Someone just had the idea to build an ice chute to go flying down head first in a sled going 90mph?

How crazy do you have to be to do Skeleton? I'm happy for the guy who won Gold, but damn.
Yeah that doesn't look to enjoyable to me. I would quite honestly **** myself

I was thinking that with my friends yesterday, as the Live Olympic Curling was on. We were thinking, how the hell do you get into those sports? Do you just go down to the local ice-rink and just say 'Hey, I'm looking to get into curling, can we book the rink for an hour?'

I believe you can, actually, haha.
