3rd period Underway!

Hopefully my computer won't disconnect the internet anymore *knock on wood*
Dial-up?

Anyway, what a finish. Tampa Bay is close to being out of the playoffs, and they continue to play like they know it.

Richards finally came through in the end, and Lecavalier and St. Louis was were their usual nifty selves.

I guess when your best players are your best players, the results should go your way.

No I have DSL, sometimes likes to act like Dial-up though.

But Tampa is close to being out of the playoffs, hopefully they continue to play well and can create a cushion for a spot. I would hate to see them out of it this season.
And when you're best players are some of the best in the league you should be pretty good.

Looks like a nice win for TBay, I haven't seen the highlights yet but it looks like the big three took over the game tonight.
Lecavalier leads Lightning over Coyotes

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Vincent Lecavalier had two goals and an assist, and Brad Richards scored a tiebreaking power-play goal early in the third period as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Phoenix Coyotes 5-3 on Tuesday night.

Lecavalier has a career-high 37 goals this season, five shy of tying Brian Bradley's team record set during the 1992-93 season.

Richards put the Lightning ahead 4-3 with his 20th goal of the season at 1:24 of the third. He has reached the mark in five of his six NHL seasons.

Martin St. Louis had a goal and two assists for the Lightning, who have won 13 of 16. Eric Perrin snapped a 27-game, goal-scoring drought to make it 5-3 with 8:15 left.

Phoenix got goals from Michael Zigomanis, Oleg Saprykin and Derek Morris. The Coyotes are 4-10 in their past 14 games.

Lecavalier put the Lightning ahead 3-2 with a breakaway goal at 15:19 of the first.

Every team in the east except for Buffalo and NJ is close to not making the playoffs. The big difference for the Bolts is confidence in the goaltender. last year there was none when the team was down because of a quick goal every night.

This goaltender makes the big save in the third, ot, and the shootout. Not only will the Bolts make the playoffs, they will win the division. One can almost feel the team's growing confidence while attending the games. My next one is Tuesday, against Florida courtesy of RBC. Thanks Valleri.:)
