Habs look to shake off Sabres' dominance

Sports Ticker

BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Buffalo Sabres are one of the best clubs in the National Hockey League, and the Montreal Canadiens can testify to that fact.

The Sabres are 3-0-1 against the Canadiens this season, and go for their fourth win over Montreal tonight.

Buffalo had slowed a little since starting 20-3-2, going 4-3-0 since. The Sabres come off a 3-1 home loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday in which Jochen Hecht scored their only goal.

Buffalo is always a tough game for the Habs. Maybe Montreal can shut Buffalo down, they're not scoring much anyways.

And the Canadiens are one of the best road teams in the East so it should be a good one.

The habs played a great game. Def a well deserved win! Lapierre got another goal tonight, 3 goals in his first 4 NHL games. Higgins scored twice and Huet made 42 saves. This team will go very far.

It seems they've sent Lapierre down. :dunno:

Oh well, good win. Huge win really, because the 2 points they made up on Buffalo is huge right now.

I don't know why they didn't send down Downey or Murray. Lapierre was playing great.
