(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Flyers and Atlanta Thrashers meet for the second time in less than a week, as they battle this evening at Philips Arena.
The Thrashers also hosted Philadelphia last Sunday and the Flyers notched a 2-1 victory. The Flyers are 2-0 in the season series and have taken four straight and seven of the last eight matchups overall.
Last week's win over the Thrashers was the only one for Philly in its last 12 games (1-8-3).
Since beating the Thrashers, the Flyers dropped a shootout decision to Tampa Bay on Tuesday and were then dealt an overtime setback by New Jersey on Thursday. Both losses came at home, where the Flyers have lost a franchise- record 12 straight games.
Brad Lukowich tallied the game-winner for the Devils in Thursday's 6-5 win, as he scored with 49.5 seconds left in OT. The Flyers had taken a 5-4 lead on Peter Forsberg's goal with 4:10 left in the third period, but Zach Parise netted the equalizer with just 31.8 seconds remaining in regulation.
