Key Players of the Game

After sitting out since October 12 because of knee surgery, Rafalski returns to the lineup tonight.

I don’t know how much (Rafalski) can play tonight, but he can definitely play on the power play, so we’ll fire him in and see where he is. We feel that Stewie’s playing excellent, so him and Nick against the matchup unit most of the night. I don’t know if it’s staying like that, but that’s what we’re doing tonight.

For some reason I never noticed how weak Phoenix was down the middle. Sadly, those fourth line wingers (Upshall and Prucha) would definitely be in the top four on the Penguins.
Yeah, Phoenix is pretty much the polar opposite of Pittsburgh. Fantastic wing depth (especially considering Doan is out right now), but terrible center depth. Luckily Turris has looked pretty good for them at times. If he figures it out, it solves a lot of the problems they have up the middle.

If Pittsburgh is ever looking to move Staal, Phoenix is a really good match.

So glad tonight's game is on Versus. I can finally tune in to my first Wings game this season.

It's also on TSN2, which is nice for us Canadian viewers. Should be a fun time.
I gotta admit, I don't think I knew you lived in Canada.

I'm glad we got the win, but I wasn't too impressed with the quality of play.

Agreed. A win's a win, but there are certain things they need to work out. Hopefully it was just fatigue from that road trip and jet lag after the time change from Vancouver.

Thankfully we have a couple days off until we face the Oilers.

I think that Holmstrom should sit next game. He hasn't looked all that great at any time this season, and was probably our worst player on the ice last night. Maybe his old legs just caught up to him thanks to the road trip.

Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Cleary
Hudler - Filppula - Franzen
Abdelkader - Modano - Bertuzzi
Miller - Helm - Eaves

Looks pretty solid, no?

Not bad. I definitely agree with Cleary being on the first line. He's been one of our best forwards the last couple games.

I could also see Franzen dropping back to the third line instead of Bertuzzi. Either way, I like what they would bring to the third line.
