Finally ending their losing streak at a wrenching 7 games, the Maple Leafs look to add another win to their last when they visit Carolina to take on the defending Stanley Cup Champion Hurricanes on Friday night. (7:30PM ET)

Chad Kilger had 2 goals, and Darcy Tucker scored his team leading 18th of the season (a league leading 13th on the Powerplay) as the Leafs rallied to a 5-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Lighting.

Jeff O'Neill and Alexei Ponikarosvy added the other goals for the Leafs (Ponikarovsky's being his 1st in 7 games), who looked to be struggling early on in the game. A goalie change made by Paul Maurice with the team down 3-1 helped the team might have been the best move for the Leafs who are over .500 once more. J.S. Aubin, who was given the opportunity to take the starting position in Toronto, allowed 3 goals on 9 shots, and Andrew Raycroft came on in relief him, stopping 16 of 17 shots.

Andrew Raycroft said:
"We've got to keep this going. We've got a good feeling after the last game so we want to keep that going and go on the road and do the same thing."

Andrew Raycroft is 12-10-3 after 25 games, and has a 2.98 Goals Against Average and .898 Save Percentage.

Darcy Tucker continues to lead the team in Points with 28 in 32 Games.

The game also marked the return of Leaf defenceman Carlo Colaiacovo. His first game back since January 23rd when he suffered a concussion while trying to check then Ottawa Senators forward, Vaclav Varada.

Toronto is 14-13-5 after 32 Games played, and are currently tied with the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, and Ottawa Senators for the last 2 spots in he Eastern Conference with 33 Points, and are currently 1 points ahead of Boston for 4th in the Northeast Division.

Adding to the storyline of the game, the Hurricanes are just 1 point ahead of Toronto in the East with 34 points after 32 games, and Carolina having lost 4 straight games heading into Friday night's tilt look to find their game again. Their last game being a 5-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

Captain Rod Brind'Amour, who was having his best season in years and is leading the team in Points with 36 in 30 games played is doubful for Tonight's game with a "lower body injury".

Eric Staal leads the team in goals with 16 in 32 games.

There were rumblings earlier on about whether Cam Ward would have to fight for his starting job with newly acquired Goaltender John Grahame.

Though NHL Playoff MVP Cam Ward continues to struggle, he still manages to come away with some wins and is probable to get the start against the Leafs.

Ward is 13-8-3 through 24 games, and has a 2.98 Goals Against Average and .893 Save Percentage.

The game is on TSN tonight, full TSN network that is. It's not a "Regional" game, so most of us should be able to see it.

Barring any kind of sudden distraction, I should be able to see it.

Yeah. I sort of want it to work like the thread from when they played Tampa Bay on Tuesday night. Updates here and there, a little chitter-chatter, stuff like that. :)

Hey, keep it clean man. ;)

Do you have NHL on The Fly? They're an affiliate of TSN, but it's kind of a specialty channel.

If so, they should be giving constant updates on the game during the middle of the 2nd Period, and be giving you a good 3-4 minutes of game play at a time.

The game starts at 7:30 rather than the usual 7:00 PM time, so there should be more time to watch the Leaf game than usual.

Yeah.

Well, where do you live? North Carolina or something? I don't think they have it there.

But you should check around to see if you land on the game somewhere when it airs.

NHL on the fly is awesome eh? It's the reason I haven't gotten Centre Ice, it's done the trick so far.

Sundin scores his second of the night on a 2 man advantage.
He passed Beliveau(507) in goals scored and ties Dave Keon in points on the leafs with his 508 goal. Congrats!

3-1 on a one-timer blast by McCabe.

Woo. The Leafs got hustle tonight, especially Jeff O'Neill.

Too bad he missed that glorious opportunity in front of the net a few minutes back.
