Tie against the stifling Wild. Wheww, thought the Canucks would be held scoreless.

This game should be different. Crawford will have slapped some players around and told them to smarten up. Naslund isn't there so the whole team needs to step up. And by gummit, somebody darn well better. The Canucks had some good moments against the Wild with Linden scoring the tying goal.

The Pens, hehehehe, should be an easy two points but we all know that an easy two points for the Canucks is usually done the hard way. This will be the Canucks first time facing MAF but I don't expect him to be able to stop an offense that will bounce back from the last few disappointing games. I watched a little bit of the Pen vs Oilers tonight and heard Millen say that Pittsburgh had three number 6 defensemens and three number 8 defensemen  . Not exactly a dominant defense core. Lemieux is still hurting, the team is made up of a lot of players who wouldn't even make other NHL teams but at least they are having fun and gaining experience with every game.

Canucks 5 - 1 over the Penguins.

I see a slaughter at hands  The Canucks offence will be too much for the AHL Penguins to handle. Remember when TB beat them 9-0.. I'm thinking its going to be something around that. The Penguins won't win, as long as Mario isn't around.

I think I'd put Dick Tarnstrom as a top 4 defenceman though.

5-1 Canucks.

With Vancouver being such an offensive power house with depth, we should easily outshoot Pittsburgh. The Penguins have a bunch of journeymen nobodies playing the blueline. Of course there is Dick Tarnstrom, one of Mike Milbury's dumb give-a-ways. But I highly doubt that will change the outcome of this game.

Let's say the shots will be 43-14 in favour of the Canuckleheads.

If the Canucks lose this game..time to make a change with the team :D

But, they will win it. However, they have been playing very average..like a 500 team lately..they are no longer the once dominate team at the beginning of the year.

Time to step it up, and into gear..and start winning, and winning convincinly.

4-1 Canucks

P.S. Start Hedberg, he deserves the start, and will play well against his old team

I think the Canucks played reasonably well against minny but just failed to put away their chances. They will be looking to make up for that and they will win 6-2. Expect a big game from Bert.

Don't take Pittsburg too lightly. Remember that they tied Philly 3 to 3 after being down 3 zip and they beat New Jersey 2 - 1, so you never know which team will show up. It,s also Fluery's last game before he joins Team Canada and may just stone the canucks.

I waatched the game against Minny. I thought they played extremely well and controlled almost the entire game. The Nucks need to learn to break the trap better.

This will be a blowout 6-1 win canucks. Fleury is good but he's still young and never had to face the WCE.

Well with this being Fleury's last game before he heads to the World Junior team he will want to put on a show. That being said his team regularily is badly out shot. If the Canucks can put enough rubber on net it should be an easy win. Naslund is listed as probable for tonight and if he plays it could be a huge night for the captain. Either way the Canucks win it in a big way.

Naslund says he's playing.

If he gets hurt or reinjures himself, I say ban him from the rink until he's healthy. This isn't the playoffs, he can take the time off to heal.

Penguins take this one in a shocker....4-1.

BTW Pens up 1-0 on PP by Kraft..Moose is in net and Naslund is playing.

edit:Well its 1-1 now, looks like my prediction won't come true

I really never thought the Pens could beat the Canucks  *jinx*

At least I got the two points the hard way right.

The Canucks are frustrating the heck out of me. The Penguins are 30th in the league and were playing their 3rd game in 4 nights but they controlled a lot of the play. 2 goals on the powerplay and a lot of odd man rushes.

The Canucks had a 5 on 3 powerplay and didn't score. Jeez

Great to see Naslund get 4 goals.

The best part of the night was the Canucks' backup, Chris Leveque, a student from UBC with an exam tomorrow.

Definitely the highlight of the night was the look on Levesque's face when Hedberg was down on the ice near the end of the first. He was white as a ghost.

That was one of the ugliest and sloppiest games I've ever seen the Canucks win. 3 on 2s and 2 on 1s over and over and over. Nazzy saved everyones ass. Now we go into thursdays contest with the "rotten" Avs even in points.

man, that was one of the ugliest games they've played this season. looked like crappy ice tonight; the puck kept getting away from them.

great game for naslund; i knew he'd break out soon. bertuzzi looks like he's starting to find his game, although he needs to be able to finish. but he did pick up 3 assists...the only goal he didn't assist on; he was responsible for the play anyways...

now, let's see them play twice as hard...no wait...ten times as hard against the rotten avs!

go canucks, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

What an awful game. Perhaps one of the worst I have watched all year.

The only bright spot was the play of Naslund. He seemed to be the only Canuck playing tonight. Well, Bertuzzi wasn't bad either.

If the canucks continue to play ordinary..they will go nowhere. So please wake up, and smell the coffee. I mean..they had to fight for a win..against the Pens?

Other than the top line tonight, the canucks had no one who was a threat.

The Avs will be licking their chops for the Canucks on Thursday..lets hope the Canucks can play like they normally do..and not like they are right now.
