Lewiston forward David Perron scored his 17th goal of the season Friday, cementing his place as the leading goal-scorer among rookies.

Perron's third period goal helped the first-place Maineiacs beat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-2 in Qubec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Perron is the No. 2 rookie in overall points, seven points behind Halifax's Jakub Voracek.

At Lewiston, Maine, Marc-Andre Daneau scored twice in the first period, while Chad Denny and Stefano Giliati also put away goals for Lewiston (19-5-0-2).

Martin Bartos and Thomas Beauregard had goals for the Titan (16-10-1-0).

Mooseheads 4, Screaming Eagles 3

At Sydney, N.S., Bryce Swan put away two goals, including the winner, as Halifax edged the Screaming Eagles.

Colby Pridham and Justin Pender added goals for the Mooseheads (14-11-2-1).

Paul Alexander McIlveen, Jean-Christophe Gauthier and Alexandre Quesnel scored for Cape Breton (17-11-1-0).

Foreurs 6, Fog Devils 3

At St. John's, N.L., Brad Marchand scored a hat trick as Val-d'Or downed the Fog Devils.

Simon Bolduc, Marc-Andre Cote and Kristopher Letang also scored for the Foreurs (18-8-2-1).

Taylor MacDougall, Tim Spencer and Matt Fillier had goals for St. John's (10-15-1-1).

Wildcats 5, Sea Dogs 4

At Saint John, N.B., Phil Mangan's goal at 8:18 in the third stood as the winner as Moncton beat the Sea Dogs.

Randy Cameron scored twice for the Wildcats (17-10-0-1), while Chris Morehouse and Christian Gaudet added one goal each.

Zane Neily, David MacDonald, Christopher DiDomenico and Alex Grant replied for Saint John (9-15-1-1).

Sagueneens 7, Remparts 4

At Quebec, Alexandre Imbeault and David Desharnais both had two goals and and three assists as Chicoutimi beat the Remparts.

Nicolas Blanchard had two goals while Juraj Mikus added one for the Sagueneens (10-15-4-1).

Angelo Esposito, Maxime Lacroix, Nicolas Robillard and Kelsey Tessier replied for Quebec (17-12-0-0).

Tigres 6, Drakkar 3

At Victoriaville, Que., Morten Madsen and Keven Veilleux scored two goals apiece as the Tigres downed Baie-Comeau.

Benoit Doucet and Maxime Robichaud also put away goals for Victoriaville (14-12-0-0).

Joakim Jensen, Alexandre Picard-Hooper and Pierre-Cedrick Labrie scored for the Drakkar (14-9-1-3).

Voltigeurs 3, Huskies 2

At Drummondville, Que., Scott Howes' goal at 3:00 in the second period stood as the winner as the Voltigeurs beat Rouyn-Noranda.

Drew Paris and Etienne Bellavance-Martin added for Drummondville (11-16-0-2).

Hugo Carpentier and Michael Dubuc scored the only two goals for the Huskies (13-11-2-2) thirty-five seconds apart in the second period.

Olympiques 7, Cataractes 2

At Shawinigan, Que., Jonathan Carrier had a hat trick as Gatineau trounced the Cataractes.

Darryl Smith had two goals, while Martin Frechette and Michael Stinziani added one each for the Olympiques (18-7-1-2).

Sean Smyth and Pierre-Alexandre Vandal replied for Shawinigan (13-10-1-3).
