PRINCETON, N.J. (CP) - Former NHLer Kip Brennan was suspended seven games by the ECHL on Wednesday after he was involved in a bench-clearing brawl in his first game with the Long Beach Ice Dogs last weekend.

Brennan charged out of the penalty box at the end of an 8-2 loss to Phoenix on Saturday night and took on several Roadrunner players.

Teammates Eric Neilson and David Walker also jumped into the fight and were each suspended two games by the league. Phoenix defenceman Alexandre Rouleau received a one-game suspension for his part in the incident.

I love official releases. They jumped into the fight alright. Right over the boards and into it. The two game suspension is for leaving the bench rather than the fight itself.
