What do you think about foreigner players in NHL?

Finnish people consider that best goalkeepers in NHL are Finnish national.

Russian consider that they are best in attack.:laugh:

I think that foriegners I considered one of the best in hockey. I dont think a specific country but a team from like Finland or Russia is a good elite foreign team.

I like European players in the game they bring extra elements to it and a lot of them are very exciting to watch. But to pick a specific country? I wouldn't be able to chose.

Finland sure does produce some good players though.

Finnish produces some of the hardest working players in the league. It's usually about heart from them on a whole.

Lehtinen, Niemenen, Numminen, etc....

And they almost all grind. It helps with that "gritty" element in the league.

You'll hear many complaints about effort from player from other countries, but you won't hear too much of it about Fins.

At least, very few summon my wrath...

Finland is a little country, and if a couple of hockeyplayers play in NHL and they are good players, it is a big and important result for us!

I have found an interesting stats in Wikipedia, that there is 50 000 hockeyplayers in Finland and about 500 000 - in USA for example, so in NHL sould be for 1 finn 10 USA players

It is very pleasand to hear finnish names in NHL hockey news!
