(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Flyers try to end a four-game skid tonight when they visit the Florida Panthers at the BankAtlantic Center. Making matters worse, the team will be without captain Peter Forsberg after he suffered a wrist injury in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay.

Philadelphia has lost four straight regulation games for the first time since a five-game skid that spanned from March 28 - April 4, 2002.

On Thursday, former Flyers Vinny Prospal and Ruslan Fedotenko each scored a goal against their old team and Marc Denis made 34 saves to lead the Lightning effort.

Sami Kapanen scored the lone goal for the slumping Flyers, while Antero Niittymaki finished with 32 saves.

Philly was coming off an embarrassing 9-1 loss to Buffalo on Tuesday, and the next day management shook up the roster. The team waived forwards Petr Nedved and Niko Dimitrakos and defenseman Nolan Baumgartner, in turn bringing up forwards Stefan Ruzicka, Ben Eager and defenseman Alexandre Picard from the AHL's Phantoms.

The Flyers will host Atlanta next Thursday to begin a three-game homestand.

Florida, meanwhile, has lost its last two games, including Wednesday's 5-2 loss in Washington. The Panthers were burned for five goals in the first period and were never able to get back into the match.

Jozef Stumpel and Nathan Horton scored for the Panthers, who had won two in a row before the current lull. Mike Van Ryn added a pair of assists.
