(Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will aim for their fourth consecutive victory this evening when they visit the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wachovia Center.

The Penguins picked up their latest victory on Tuesday against the visiting New Jersey Devils. Evgeni Malkin continued his torrid start to his rookie campaign with a goal and an assist to help Pittsburgh to the 4-2 victory at Mellon Arena.

Malkin, the No. 2 pick in the 2004 draft behind last season's Calder Trophy winner Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals, has scored a goal in each of his first four games this season. He is the first rookie to achieve that feat since Steven King did it for the New York Rangers in December of 1992.

The young Russian missed the first four games of the season with a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason.

Sidney Crosby and Nils Ekman each had a goal and an assist and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 20 shots in the win.

The last time Pittsburgh won three straight games was from March 19-23, 2004.

The Flyers began life without Ken Hitchcock and Bob Clarke on a good note this Thursday, as the team beat the Atlanta Thrashers, 3-2, at the Wachovia Center.

Peter Forsberg scored twice, including the game-winner in a shootout to give new head coach John Stevens his first win as Flyers head coach.
