(Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals will try to get back in the win column tonight, when they visit the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wachovia Center.
The Capitals had a season-high four-game winning streak halted Friday night by visiting Anaheim. Todd Marchant had a goal and two assists to guide the Ducks to the easy 6-1 victory at the Verizon Center.
Olaf Kolzig allowed six goals on 34 shots for Washington, and Alexander Semin had his team's lone goal with Alexander Ovechkin picking up the primary assist.
The Flyers, meanwhile, have played just twice in December and lost both times to the New Jersey Devils. Philly was dealt a shootout loss by the Devils at home on December 2 and was then defeated, 2-0, at the Meadowlands on Friday evening.
Martin Brodeur turned aside all 28 shots he faced to pick up his fourth shutout of the season as the Devils blanked the Flyers. It was the 84th shutout in the legendary career of Brodeur, tying him with Glenn Hall for third place on the all-time list.
