Flyers assign Jonsson, Picard to Phantoms

The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have assigned defenceman Lars Jonsson and reassigned defenceman Alexandre Picard to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms.
Jonsson, 24, posted an assist in two games with the Flyers this season. He missed the first eight games of the season due to a high right ankle sprain.
A native of Borlange, Sweden, Jonsson was signed as a free agent by the Flyers on July 1, 2006.
