The new rumor is that Sutter could be new head coach if Keenan doesn't turn it around soon! After almost blowing another big lead Keenan was pulled into Sutters office, later reports Keenan seemed to be shaken and did not want to talk to media.Wow, just think Sutter behind the bench again is every Flames fan wet dream. Will it happen; I guess for the most part not, Sutter gave that job up for a reason.

Please post them here!

All they could get for Cole is Patty O'Sullivan? This just keeps getting better and better.
Thats ok the flames still aren't the best team in the west and if they don't win it this year they lose Camillari
Sutter admitted in the Press conference today how this trade compleatly fell in his lap. It`s a very strange trade for Colorado to whip up out of no where, especially with Nycolat recently being recalled off waivers.

Jokinen may have been a really big aquisition but I really think this is a key trade, Sutter lost basically nothing in getting Leapold and gets a puck moving defencman who is proven to play well on this team. I have a feeling he`ll be thrown right in the mix on line with Phaneuf, he has all the qulities Phaneuf lacks and I think they`ll have greal chemistry.

I think that's why Sutter went ahead with this deal because Cammillari wants to test the waters as a free agent and by the looks of it he will get over 6 mil next season. I'm going to miss Lombo but I still rather have the Joker.
:bt

And yes Calgary the best in the N.W. and we have a real shot at the cup.

I'm happy with this, so in the end we ended up getting Cammy for nothing.... explain

Leo for Tans
Tans for Cam
Cam +Leo
In the end we win
:bt
As much as I hate to admit it, I dont think anyone can argue that the Flames are the best in the NW right now. This is their shot. Losing Cammy will be a huge loss to the team, but as it sits right now they've got a good shot this year. I still dont put them even with Detroit or the Sharks, but they're close. And I think we've all found that anything can happen come playoff time.

Exactly, but in the end the Flames will probably lose Camilleri to free agency, unless Sutter can pull off yet another amazing signing.
I guess the important thing is he's here for the rest of this year and help the Flames odds at making a run.

Well they've proven themselves capable of beating the Sharks and Wings.

The Flames are 0-1-1 with Detriot and 2-1 with the Sharks. They've proven they can play with the Sharks, but Im not sure how losing 1 game in regulation and one in overtime is proving they can beat the Wings.

The OT loss, the Flames were all over the wings the first 55 minutes then blew their lead and lost in OT. It was their 2nd game in back to back games on the road where they had to fly from California to Michigan over night. If the Flames are on their game they can play with any other team in the league.

Im not denying the Flames are a top tier team. But excuses wont win them a cup. I think they'd have a hard fight with either Detroit or San Jose, but they're a tough, gritty team that have a chance to grind it out with any team in a 7 game series.
Flames can beat any team if they put their heart in it and the city certainly supports them 100%
Jokinen scored 2 goals in the 1st period against Philly :D

The first line was on fire, I can't recall a Flames line looking that in control of the play.

Excuses don't add up to points.

Im sure you know all about that watching the Oilers.

Im not worrying about points, I was simply saying that despight an overtime loss I still think theyre capable of beating the Wings.

I make no excuses for my oilers. They haven't played the way they can and should, simple as that.
Didn't look that amazin against the Canes, maybe those gale force winds kept him down.
Jokinen is a perfect fit for the Flames, sure they got crushed last night, but the first line still played great.

Playing great and still getting shut down for most of the night says something about how good they really are.
they gonna blow it in the playoffs for sure :p
