(Sports Network) - Two red-hot teams currently boasting five-game win streaks will go head-to-head tonight at Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center, where the Predators host the Calgary Flames in a battle of division leaders.

Nashville currently has the second-most points (65) in the Western Conference and owns a four-point advantage on Detroit for first place in the Central Division. The Flames' recent run has vaulted them to the top spot in the competitive Northwest, where Calgary holds a one-point edge on Minnesota and Vancouver.

The Predators kept up their winning ways by completing a home-and-home sweep of the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. Jerred Smithson scored a pair of goals and Chris Mason racked up 39 saves, including 22 in the final period, as Nashville posted a 4-1 victory at Nationwide Arena.

Scott Nichol had a pair of assists for the Predators, who prevailed despite being outshot by a 40-17 margin on the night. Paul Kariya and Shea Weber each contributed goals to the winning effort.

J.P. Dumont assisted on Weber's tally to extend his scoring streak to six games. He has compiled one goal and seven helpers over that stretch.

Nashville has won five consecutive games for the third time this season. The club last strung together six victories in a row from April 6-18 of last year.
