All around better??? Come on Calgary as a city doesn't create the type of fans that Edmonton does. Too transiant of a place.
What the kind of fans that need police to prevent a riot on Edmontons poor version of The Red Mile (The Blue Mile)....lol Come on you got to be kidding me. Plus Calgary has the #1 selling jersey in the NHL the C of red isn't fake like some teams. And look at last nights playoff game vs the Sharks it was the fans who kept this team in it.All around better??? Come on Calgary as a city doesn't create the type of fans that Edmonton does. You call the oil dirty? Robyn Regehr is as dirty as they come.Edmonton: Dirtiest, greasiest team in the league hands down. They play clutch grab and the trap, they run borderline obstruction and I wouldn't doubt McTavish encourages it. Watching that cup run made my blood boil for those reasons and because of the fans (Id rather not get into detail on that one :redface
BTW: Looking forward to see Bertuzzi's return to Vancouver and for that reason I'd bet that the Flames will be their most hated team this year.
Haha, I was almost expecting a lame joke...You call the oil dirty? Robyn Regehr is as dirty as they come.
Its funny you call the oil clutching and grabbing, Cause the Flames excelled at clutching and grabbing when they made there cup run and once that was eliminated they haven't done anything in the playoffs.
though you aren't able to defend the fact that your team was nothing but a clutch and grab team that as soon as they couldn't do it anymore they don't go anywhere in the playoffs.Haha, I was almost expecting a lame joke...
I was reffering to something more a little recent. Don't you have when in defense of someone else's comments all oiler fans always go on the offense. This being a perfect example badat says Regehr's a dirty player after I call the oilers a clutch grab team. I'd find it hard to argue against the oilers running obstruction.
How am I to defend the fact that they're not a clutch grab team? It's not like anyone can prove it either way, but I'm saying this is an observation I've made in the past and even in the pre-season. It's something they depend on when-ever an opponent has a step on them.though you aren't able to defend the fact that your team was nothing but a clutch and grab team that as soon as they couldn't do it anymore they don't go anywhere in the playoffs.
Yet you belittle the oilers and say they're clutch and grab, but admit your team does it aswell sow what does that say about your team or your views? How am I to defend the fact that they're not a clutch grab team? I never admitted the Flames play clutch-grab...Yet you belittle the oilers and say they're clutch and grab, but admit your team does it aswell sow what does that say about your team or your views?
And I point out the fact and I watched it that the flames depended on the clutch and grab style and since that style was eliminated for the most part they've had no succes in the playoffs.I never admitted the Flames play clutch-grab...
They did a little in the cup run 04 but that was a completely different NHL then. What I said was there's absolutely no way I can prove the oilers depend on obstruction to slow the game down. You don't have to agree with me, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who notices this.
Also, I'm not necessarily belittling the Oilers in saying this. As long as they get away with it it's to their benefit.
I wouldn't say there's been no success in the playoffs, each year the made big steps forward and gained experience. Last year it came down to blowing game 7 against the sharks, but up until then they looked to be a very capable team. This year there's a lot of promise given from this experience and a decent roster, but there's still a lot of factors that could affect their course. And I point out the fact and I watched it that the flames depended on the clutch and grab style and since that style was eliminated for the most part they've had no succes in the playoffs.
That being said since the style in the NHL changed and skating rather then coasting became more dominant the flames haven't made a leap in the playoffs.I wouldn't say there's been no success in the playoffs, each year the made big steps forward and gained experience.
