In pre-seson action it was the Abbostford Flames vs. The Edmonton Oilers.​

Tuesday night comprised of guys battling for the sixth and seventh defenceman spots. Among that group, new Flames head coach Brent Sutter thought Anton Stralman stood out the most.​

Not a bad game considering the Oilers line up they were facing tonight.​

I was kinda hoping to see a little more of Irving, otherwise there's a lot of players to watch. I'm surprised they're not mixing and of the defence prospects with starters other than Aulie.

Definitely not one of the Flames best players. A good bottom pairing guy at the most.

I'd rplace Gio with these Mikael Backlund, Olli Jokinen, Miikka Kiprusoff
hell I'd even put Theo ahead of him.

Badat can blow it out his ass if he thinks it's an excuse. Put these guys in the lineup and the Oilers would have never stood a chance.

Theo Fleury is poised to take another step forward in his attempt to get back into the National Hockey League.

Lol, yeah, I know. I listed some of the players and then Giordano wasn't playing so I added him in... didn't even think of him when I typed that whole best players thing, hahaha. :duh

Dions Back! Phaneuf just distroyed Kyle Okposo with an open ice hit. Taken off on a stretcher. I hope Okposo is okay, but good to see Dion back to his old ways

Great time for Theo, what Flames fan doesn't wan't him in the lineup sometime this season?​

"It was pretty unanimous on the bench," said head coach Brent Sutter. "the players al wanted him to shoot. It was the right thing to do. It's a day-to-day process (with Fleury). I thought he played okay."​

I think the hit was great, but throwing the guy, Morency or whatever, coming to Okposo's rescue to the ice was just the cherry on top. :thumbsup:

Just found out, he got suspended for it. Chocolate drizzle, perhaps?

All in all, two guys owned and a suspension all caused by Dion. He's back; keep your head up Northwest Division.
