Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Robert Esche had successful surgery today on his adductor muscle (groin) and will be out of action for two-to-four weeks.
The Flyers have recalled goaltender Martin Houle from the AHL Philadelphia Phantoms to backup Antero Niittymaki.
