Bookmakers predicted a very competitive Stanley Cup Series. The Hurricanes lead the series 3-2 but the Oilers have momentum. Sports bettors felt the Hurricanes would win game 4 and 5 but the Oilers fought back to prove them wrong.
The Oilers won game 5 in overtime. “We knew this would be a tough game," said coach, Craig MacTavish. "They were obviously hungry, but at the same time approaching this game at home, with all the scenarios that are active after a game, with friends and family, at times you can put pressure on yourself.”
Sports betting fans are wondering how the Hurricanes will react now. They let game 5 slipped away. "It hurts right now. It's tough to swallow. You want to finish teams off when you can," said Carolina forward Kevyn Adams.
The Oilers are taking game 6 back to Edmonton increasing their chances. They feel they can tie the series. If they do, it will force the Hurricanes to play game 7. Defenseman Steve Staios, said; "There's no doubt that we feel we're a team that should win the Stanley Cup. As we're elevating our game, we feel our chances are getting better and better."
I have no doubt game 6 will lead to a final exciting game 7. The 2006 Stanley Cup final is a “must” to watch and bet on…don’t miss it.
