(Sports Network) - Two Pacific Division clubs looking to break out of recent funks square off tonight at Dallas' American Airlines Center, where the Stars host the frontrunning Anaheim Ducks.

Neither team is in good form as of late. Although Anaheim still leads the Western Conference with 65 points, the Ducks have lost five of their last six games. Dallas has dropped four of five, including its two most recent contests.

The Stars opened up a four-game homestand on a down note, dropping a 5-2 decision to red-hot Phoenix on Tuesday. Shane Doan netted a pair of goals to lead the Coyotes to their seventh consecutive victory.

Niklas Hagman and Jere Lehtinen tallied the goals for the Stars, who fell despite finishing with a 31-28 shot advantage. Marty Turco finished with 23 saves in the loss.

Dallas, which is 13-7-0 at home on the season, will also face Los Angeles and Calgary during this current stretch.

The Ducks are coming off a tough 5-4 overtime defeat Tuesday at Nashville, with the Predators' Steve Sullivan recording the game-winning marker with 1:48 remaining in the extra session.

Dustin Penner scored once and assisted on another for Anaheim, which also received goals from Teemu Selanne, Chris Kunitz and Ryan Getzlaf. Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov had a rough night between the pipes, however, stopping just 19 of 24 shots.
