(Sports Network) - The subtraction of the word Mighty from the Anaheim Ducks name has not been indicative of how the team has played this season.

Anaheim (7-0-2) has 16 points and is tied for first place in the Pacific Division with Dallas and is also in a three-way tied for the top spot in the Western Conference.

The Ducks are also unbeaten in regulation in its first nine games this year, a franchise record.

Anaheim was last in action on Wednesday when they hosted the Edmonton Oilers and picked up a 6-2 victory at the Honda Center. Ryan Getzlaf's two goals and Chris Pronger's three assists helped lead the Ducks to the victory.

It was Pronger's first game against his old Edmonton squad, which he led to the Stanley Cup finals back in June, but his teammates managed to steal the limelight.
