(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning will try to build off an impressive victory, as they welcome the powerful Anaheim Ducks to St. Pete Times Forum tonight.
Tampa Bay is coming off Thursday's 8-0 victory over the visiting Atlanta Thrashers, who are currently first in the Southeast Division. The Lightning are tied for third place in the division with Washington.
Vincent Lecavalier led the way in the blowout victory over the Thrashers, as he notched the fourth hat trick of his career and added two assists.
Martin St.Louis had a goal and four assists and Dan Boyle and Brad Richards each added a goal and an assist for the Lightning, who snapped a four-game losing streak.
Marc Denis only needed to make 21 saves for his first shutout of the season and 16th of his career for Tampa Bay, which has taken four of five games against Atlanta this season. Also, it was Denis' 100th career win.
The Lightning, who are 8-8-0 as the host club this year, will wrap up a three- game homestand this evening.
